Universal Orlando Resort have today revealed that the resort has plans to reopen its theme parks on June 5th 2020 to the public, with soft reopenings for Team Members starting on June 1. From June 3-4, only invited guests (such as Annual Passholders) will be granted access.
Furthermore, Univeral have confirmed that they will be implementing a system of the three “S” – Screening, Sanitization, and Spacing.
Universal will provide its guests with disposable face masks to those guests that did not bring one. At dining locations, menus will be switched to single use with individually packaged condiments and pre-wrapped silverware. No buffets or self-serve options in restaurants will be available. Mobile Food Ordering will be enabled for direct-to-table seating and food delivery. Contactless payments will be encouraged through the use of Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and the Virtual Wallet in the Universal Orlando app.
A number of different signage will be installed around the parks, to remind guests of physical distancing measures that are in place.
The Virtual Line feature within the Universal Orlando Resort app will be implemented into the popular rides/attarctions, as well as queue lines being modified to accommodate for physical distancing.
In additon to these measures, Universal Orlando Resort will also be eliminating the Rack Holder for maps, and instead will be handed out by Team Members, along with a leaflet with the important information about guests visit to the parks.
